Penetration testing
Infrastructure Penetration Testing
We test your networks, servers and devices from the outside and the inside, and show you where an attacker would get in.
Overview
What it is
Your infrastructure is the ground an attacker stands on once they get a foothold. We test it from two angles: external testing of your internet-facing systems, and internal testing of what an attacker could do once inside.
We look for missing patches, weak configuration, exposed services, poor segmentation and the paths an attacker would use to move from a single machine to your whole network.
Who it is for and what you get
Who it is for
- Organisations with on-premise or hosted servers and networks
- Teams that want to know what an attacker could reach from inside
- Anyone meeting a compliance or insurance requirement
- Businesses with remote access or hybrid working to secure
What you get
- A clear report with an executive summary for leadership and technical detail for your team.
- Every finding ranked by real-world risk, with practical, prioritised remediation advice.
- A free retest of the fixes you make, so you can prove the risk is closed.
- A debrief call to walk through the results and answer your questions.
Our process
How the engagement runs
- 01
Scope
We agree the external ranges, internal networks and number of hosts in scope.
- 02
Test
We identify live systems, find weaknesses and safely demonstrate how they could be exploited and chained.
- 03
Report
You get a ranked list of findings with remediation, plus the attack paths we found across your estate.
- 04
Retest
We confirm your fixes have closed the gaps.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between internal and external testing?
External testing targets your internet-facing systems, the way a remote attacker would start. Internal testing assumes an attacker is already inside, through malware or a rogue device, and tests how far they could get.
How do you test internally without visiting us?
We can test on-site, or remotely using a secure device or virtual machine we provide that connects back to us. We agree the method with you during scoping.
How many IPs or hosts can you test?
As many as you need. The number of external IPs and internal hosts is one of the main things we scope, so tell us your estate and we will quote accordingly.
Do you test cloud infrastructure too?
Yes, though cloud platforms have their own attack surface. See our cloud testing and cloud hardening services for the detail.
